German music and culture publication Musikexpress was recently stamped with Clémence Gouy’s signature style. Its June print edition played host to the French designer’s unique illustrations – and some of the greatest musicians in living memory, including Beyoncé, Jay-Z and Oasis.
Clémence’s contribution to the prestigious publication was a perfect marriage of strong lines, vivid colours, light detailing and muted shades, skillfully complementing copy which explores the best collaborations in music history.

Set against a hazy backdrop and illuminated by stars of the Milky Way and the rock ‘n’ roll variety, Clémence expertly elevates her subjects to the realm of the mythical in a collection of illustrations which will strike a chord with even the most casual music fan.
